The mere fact that the debate will issue "from the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan" lends an air of respectability to an otherwise tawdry event. Perhaps even the "whole truth" will burst out in a blaze of revelations.
One would hope that it will go better than the event featuring County Commissioner hopefuls. One of the many international treaties that doesn't apply anymore to the USA has to do with landmines.

go green !

"...in other business,...." the WOOD debatable debate will be very objective and non-partisan, since the questions will be formed by the media representatives. Western Culture (meaning, the Pulpiteers) will point out the close relationships between Jennifer and the Axis of Evildoers (Bradley Indians, Ethanol/Alcohol Distilleries, and Howard Dean). The Eastern Culture will be watching the action and bitching about the loss of fruit picking jobs to the Mexicans, and the limitations on benefits to boyfriends(B2B).

We'll see if Skubick is going to try to play "gothcha" with the gov. And if you think Rick Albin will be very objective and non-partisan, I have some nice building sites in prospering downtown Orangeville to sell you.

Well, Skubick was true to form. A disgusting display of arrogance. I was caught offguard by DeVos's sheer stupidity, this being the first time I've seen him speak off script. Granholm had a couple of weak moments but seemed to regain composure and nail the dick man.

For those that missed the show, Skubick tried to get granholm to admit to killing little Ricky Lake. She was way too kind in her response. It was one of the worst "debates" I have seen, more because of Skubick than the candidates themselves. There might have been more damage to Skubick's career than to either Granholm or DeVos.

Apparently, Dick's performances in each debate have given Granholm a boost in the polls both times- her lead's up to 8 or 9 in the last polls and she treatens to pull away if he doesn't do better. If he was smart he'd fake an illness and get out of the last one. If this was boxing, Granholm would already have scored the TKO. DeVos has appeared uncomfortable and evasive in both appearances so far- the evasive was expected but you'd think a guy in his position would at least know to look into the camera and that the one with the light on top is the one that's "on." Also, Granolm's background as a lawyer and teen model obviously come into play here since she is a shark in the debates and yet comes across as likeable and comfortable.

Sensing his chance slipping from his fingers, his campaign seems to have pulled out all stops and now one of of every three commercials on my TV is one of his campaign ads. Maybe if he attacked something other than the job issue he might gain some traction as Granholm has effectively diffused those attacks with her own counterattacks. But DeVos is scared to play up the cultural issues which have traditionally been the GOP's ace in the hole. What else does he have?

I heard a rumor that Granholm likes boys.

O.K.
Well, if that dog won't hunt, how about if we don't fight those Canadians at the Ford plant in London, we will have to stop buying Toyotas over here?
"How did I meet your Mom, anyway"?
