On the Virge

There always seems to a seminal moment in the career of many leaders. An instance where clarity of voice welds with singularity of purpose. The most recent of these has culminated in an overwhelming response from the net roots. Captured forever on the blogosphere in this video.

Mayor Bernero seems to be just the kind of person that is able to share how big 3 employees are building the future of our nation, and not just our state. Not to mention fight for the common worker in a system that has for the last decade been tilted for the large corporations. A voice that will not be shouted down by the Rush Limbaugh talking points of an obviously partisan commentator in the conservative media.
To simply point this out to no end would be sufficient for most. But as I type these words I wonder what could be the future for this man. Where he will be led to further the goals of an increasingly (and necessarily so) progressive nation.
In a state that has been been placed upon the back burner in the minds of many, it is my hope that there are a few others that may consider that we may be on the Virge of a great comeback.

C'mon Virge has ADD. Sometimes he's on, but more often than not, his energy has him careening in directions I don't think he expected to go. Being the #1 champion for this cause? Too soon to crown anyone yet.

He was a screaming ranter. Also, the bank bailouts are unrelated to the fact of the UAW helping destroy these companies by being paid twice* as much to build inferior cars.

The latest "Consumer Reports" came out. The Big 3 are still the pits.

Virg is kind of bad for Lansing, too. The UAW has driven auto jobs ot of the town.

Pfft...he's tired!!!
i just saw Virge get schooled on fox today... i have been listening to his arguments in the past (with interest), but it's getting tired.

The poor guy really is in denial about the GM and UAW cozy relationship together. no one wants to give bailouts to unions, they want to give money to the workers, but not the unions!!!

Mr Mayor doesn't see that unions (UAW) caused this mess with their golden retirement packages and private golf courses. It's 2009, not 1929, there's no need for unions anymore, and the public knows that.

Mr. Mayor,
FORD did the right thing by not taking government cash, they were the savy ones, they wanted control of their union workers, not the union controlling them.
Smart business, produce smart products.Everyone knows that!!

Mr. Mayor, You are missing one thing in your argument... Big Unions and Big Wallstreet are in the same catagory, sleeping with Washington D.C.!! So shut-it and start helping the people of Lancing get a clue and rebuild, instead if wait for more bailouts.

Quit pretending you are for the folks, when you are for the unions.
